Hello!!! My name is Brandy Niemeyer, and I am a married, young, work-from-home, first time Mother. My Husband and I were never really sure we wanted children at all, and when I was told I was infertile, we didn’t think much of it. After three years of proven infertility, we were blessed with our son, Mitchell, who is now 10 months old. I would love to write for your website concerning the trials and tribulations of being a Mother, Wife, professional, friend, sister, daughter, grand-daughter, volunteer, athlete, chef, maid, handy-woman, seamstress, personal shopper, and last, but not least, WOMAN! It is so tough to keep up with all of the roles we must play, just within an hour, let alone an entire day! I struggle daily with the guilt that I am not perfect in every role and I would love to reach out to other mothers to let them know they are not alone in the never-ending battle.

I will not babble on about how wonderful it is to put cloth diapers on my baby, nor how fantastic I felt after giving birth, and you can forget about boasting how my 2 week old baby already slept through the night. No, I will be honest, and cut right to the point. Such as how I try to do things for the better, and when they fall through, feel like I lost. Like promising myself that I will get up at 5 every morning to do yoga before the baby wakes up, but then, when the alarm goes off, I end up hitting snooze until I hear Mitchell in his crib whining for me. I will also talk about how I vowed to NEVER let my baby sleep in the bed with me, but at 2:15 a.m. when he is screaming and is inconsolable, there is just no other option in my sleep-deprived haze.
