Contest: Dapple Baby For Your BornFree Products

17 May 2010 74 Comments

From: The moms behind Dapple

When we first became moms, we found a market full of “baby-friendly” products – from gentle laundry detergent for babies’ clothes, to mild shampoo for babies’ hair. But there was nothing specific for the very items that our babies put into their mouths each day – their baby bottles, cups, and dishes.

The dish soap products we used left a synthetic fragrance behind, and we were always concerned about lingering suds. We also soon noticed a persistent odor and film on our bottles that conventional dish liquids never fully removed.

It became our mission to find a better way – and create a line of products that were natural and safe for our babies, but also specifically targeted to clean the unique messes they leave behind. With the help and hard work of several experienced pediatricians and a team of seasoned green chemists, Dapple was born.

Today, Dapple offers a full line of cleaners tailor-made for households with young children. All Dapple products use natural-based ingredients that are environmentally-safe, biodegradable, and free of parabens, SLES, and phthalates, as well as synthetic dyes or fragrances.

We’re so proud to be able to bring Dapple to parents everywhere. And there’s more in the pipeline, as we continue to find new and better ways to safely tackle household cleaning challenges!

My daughter should be coming home from the NICU soon. She was born 10 wks early because she was having heart problems while in the womb. The dr’s decided that she had a better chance of surviving if they took her from me early. She is 8 wks old today! I want nothing but the best for her and would love the chance to try your products. Thanks so much for the chance to win.

I wanted to try Dapple to keep my children safe from chemicals in some products.

  • Renee Redmond said:

My husband and I are currently trying to conceive, and we also host a toddler at our house once a week. I also have a sister who suffers from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. I believe that protecting a person from developing chemical insensitivities like that from which my sister suffers begins by limited harmful chemicals in the home. I wish to project my babysitting charge and my future children by limiting their exposure to any chemicals that might lead to chronic health problems later in their lives. I also wish to set a good example for my friend (the toddler’s mother) so that she might be motivated to bring chemical-free cleaning practices into her home.

Ever since my mom was essentialy poisened by Simple Green a few years ago and ended up in the hospital I have been SO CAREFUL with what I use to clean my house with. I know that some products claim they are so safe and natural but they really are not. Now I have a 18 month old daughter who has super sensitive skin and sneezes like crazy anytime she is around really fragranced items (all our febreeze and scneted candles are gone forever!) we are really trying to keep our house a safe & scent free home for the health of all of us!

We would love to try Dapple to see how great it is for ourselves! I have been watching this brand pop up in stores around me and in magazines but have never been able to try it so far!

    Thanks for the contest!

I would love to use dapple products for my childrens cups and bottles because besides wanting the best for them, I want the safest and most natural. I currently clean with vinegar witch has a less than pleasant odor if your not accustomed to it! And I know I have offended more than one house guest with my cleaning habits!…I hope I win!

  • ChristinaM said:

I want to try Dapple products, because I have been “on the hunt” for the safest products for my son. We are trying to raise him as green as possible. We cloth diaper, breastfeed, use all natural personal care products, all natural cleaners, use only safe plastics, etc. We use born free bottles with breastmilk, because we feel they are the safest. I am looking for a safer products to use to clean the bottles, toys, and highchair. I would also like to try the laundry detergent. I look forward to winning and trying out the products!

  • Stormie Melton said:

I would love to use Dapple on my son’s bottles and toys. He is always putting things in his mouth and I don’t like the idea of cleaning them with harsh chemicals found in most cleaners and soap.

  • Becky Klothen said:

I would like to try Dapple products because we clean our 2 born free bottles for our twins three times a day using a tooth brush and – an obviously never been used – toilet bowl brush. The system works very well, but the soap we use is still regular dish washing soap. We would love to try your product!

  • Leslie S said:

I’m forever tackling that wee bit of film left behind from breast milk and formula. I’ve tried various dish soaps, but none seem quite up to the task. I’d love to try Dapple and get those bottles and training cups clean, once and for all!

My baby was born with a rare genetic syndrome (prader-willi syndrome) and has been unable to nurse. He is one now, and I have been pumping for his entire first year of life. I am ALWAYS on the search for products that are optimal for him and the earth, and since I’m constantly washing my pumping equipment, these products would be awesome for him! Thanks to you and your staff for helping make the earth a safer place for our little ones.

  • joseph said:

great product would love to try it

  • Bailey Elliott said:

I’d like to try these products because green cleaning products without hazardous ingredients are important to me because I love my little family and can’t imagine not doing the very best that I can for them, and that includes using the safest products possible for our (and the Earth’s) health now and into the future. Plus, I’d love to set a good example with my cleaning practices for Claire while she’s growing up and learning more and more.

  • Tonya said:

I like to try new things and I’ve never tried this before!! Would love the opportunity!!

  • annagracesmomma said:

I would love to try dapple products because I love to do what’s best for my baby. I researched your products and would love the opportunity. The only place around me that sells them is an hour away, but I would drive that far for the safest and best products for my baby. That’s what I did to get my born free bottles and pacifiers and I have gotten them for all my friends baby showers. When I find something that works and is safe I share it with anyone and everyone who has a baby, which would also be a good reason for me to try this product.

I also liked and shared :)

  • Marina said:
